The OpComm Clinical Portal is a secure, mobile-friendly application that streamlines clinical workflows, including task management, patient assignments, documentation, communication, and handoffs.
Who can access the OpComm Clinical Portal?
Authorized hospital staff, such as physicians, nurses, care coordinators, and allied health professionals. Access levels may vary depending on your role.
How do I log in?
The OpComm Clinical Portal integrates with Epic and uses those credentials to authenticate. You do not need to create a separate username and password.
Is the app available on both iOS and Android?
Yes, the app is available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Search for your hospital’s branded version or check with your IT department.
What should I do if the app crashes or will not load?
Try the following:
Force close and reopen the app
Check your internet connection
Ensure you have the latest version of the app
Restart your phone
If the problem persists, contact your hospital’s IT support team.
Can I message other hospital staff through the app?
Yes. The app includes a secure Internal Chat feature for staff-to-staff communication. Messages are encrypted and stored securely, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Is patient information safe on my mobile device?
Yes. The app uses encryption, secure authentication, and automatic timeouts to protect data. No patient data is stored on your device once you log out.
Can I customize my Case List?
Yes. Tap Showing, User, or OR to see only the cases you are following or for specific users or ORs. You can also sort the results either chronologically or by OR.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Report it to your IT security team immediately. They can log you out remotely or wipe access via MDM. No patient data remains on the device once you are logged out.
Who do I contact for technical support?
Contact your hospital’s IT Help Desk or Clinical Informatics Team. In the app, support details are available under Settings > Support.
